Spongebob Moves In is a virtual game from Nickelodeon based on the characters from the hit animated television show and film series. It features the main character himself and all his friends.

Similar to other games that let you build your own neighborhood, it starts out with a short tutorial that walks you through some of the things you can do. While some players found the tutorial boring, most thought it was useful. It shows you how to buy new houses and decorations and how to add them to your neighborhood. The tutorial only takes a few minutes to complete.

When the game starts, it introduces you to Spongebob on his first day in Bikini Bottom. Not only can you welcome him to the neighborhood, but you can also make him interact with other characters and learn his way around town. On the side of your screen, you'll see special events that you can do. Completing those events will award you in-game currency and help you unlock and win new characters and decorations.

Fans of the Spongebob Squarepants series will like that it delves into the history of the series and that it shows you how things happened before the show started. You'll finally learn how Patrick tracked down his rock and what Mr. Krabs did when he first started working at The Krustry Krab. The game includes replicas of all the characters' homes but lets you decide where you want to place them on the map.

Players also like that they work at The Krusty Krab. This is how you earn money that you'll need later in the game. In addition to doing events and missions with Spongebob, you can play with other beloved characters, including Patrick and Sandy. Most of the missions and quests are part of a long storyline. As soon as you complete one quest, another one should pop up and give you something new to do.

The only real complaint that players have is that the developers stop updating it. Once you complete the standard missions, you won't have anything else to do. Some players found that the limited time missions that are occasionally available are too hard, and others don't like that the game requires they spend actual money to unlock some characters and decorations. You'll also find that many ads run before and in the middle of the game. Fans of Spongebob Squarepants will find this a fun game though.
